The stylist will start by sectioning your hair and carefully attaching each individual extension using the Great Lengths bonding system. This process is precise and requires a high level of skill and attention to detail to ensure a seamless and natural-looking finish.
It can be a timely process as each individual piece is bonded to only several strands of your hair. The bond sits a couple of centimeters away from the root so there is absolutely no tightness or irritation against your scalp. Bring a book or your AirPods, a snack or some knitting and enjoy the experience.
At the end of the installation process, you will be left with a beautiful and natural-looking head of hair that you can style and enjoy for months to come. Our stylists will also provide you with detailed aftercare instructions and tips to help you maintain your extensions and ensure that they last as long as possible.
Unlike other extension installation methods, there are no maintenance appointments to Great Lengths. Saving you time and money. As your hair grows, the bonds grow with it. Once they've grown out a few inches (anywhere from 3 - 6 months, depending on how you care for them and how fast your hair grows) you can book an appointment for a removal. The removal takes much less time than the install. At that appointment you'll receive a fresh wash and blow dry and get you set up to order your next set of Great Lengths hair extensions!

During the consultation you'll discuss your hair health and history, what you are looking to achieve with extensions and your budget. Your stylist will colour match your hair and discuss whether your hair and/or the extensions will need to be coloured prior to installation.
Once the consultation is complete, you'll pay for the cost of the hair extensions in the salon and the stylist will book you in for the installation appointment. We'll take care of ordering your hair and all the take-home products you'll need!
